All your IP will change into blue Essence
Everything in the shop will cost the same as it did before but in Blue Essence
The current Blue Essence are more worth than the preSeason ones. Therefore your Blue Essences will get multiplied by 6.5. The same happens to the costs of upgrading a Champion-shard
The refund for disenchanting will not increase that much. 20% (Season 7: 33%) of the Blue Essence you would need to buy this champ

(you should go ahead and reroll or disenchant any shards you don't want to upgrade before preseason hits so you can get the most essence possible out of them.)

You have the chance to get two drops in one chest
Never be too unlucky again -> Bad luck protection (No long streak without skin-shard or gemstone)

Runes and Masteries are getting combined into one streamlined system
Choose one primary path. Domination, Inspiration, Precision, Sorcery or Resolve. Each path will also grant a small stat benefit (e.g. attackspeed)
After choosing your path, you have 1 Keystone, 1 Major and 2 Minor Slots (Path-unique). The Keystone Rune Slot is the most powerful
Choose your secondary Path which has two slots for path-unique runes but no Keystone Rune slot
